Artist's Description
Peacock is a national Bird of India. Krishna used Peacock Feather as head jewel. It is called a Most pious Bird. The commander in Chiefe Kartikeya of Devas used Peacock as his own personal flying Vehicle. Peacock Danced with the First Rain.
he feathers of peacock exemplify Lord�s Maya in a manner which human mind can try to grasp. The brilliant colors of peacock do not arise from the correspondingly colored pigments. Instead, they arise from the phenomenon called �structural coloration�. The light waves entering the different thickness of keratin layers on peacock feathers get out of phase and undergo interference. The resulting light wave patterns give the beautiful play of colors which the human eyes see. The �actual� color is just deep brown pigment which occurs in the background of these keratin layers.

About Harsh Malik
Art for me is a journey of the soul that never ends. To make this journey beautiful and lively I am painting the path for others to walk on happily. Born and brought up in India, a land of Art, Culture and spirituality, I got the love for art from my father, who was a great appreciator of my paintings and inherited the love for life from my mother. They both were strong believers of God. My father would sing prayers daily with one of his musical instrument and my mother would perform Hawan daily. And so my paintings reflect a very musical and spiritual feel. The human faces I paint, have angelic expressions. My family was very conservative, so I was confided to my city where I pursued my Bachelor and later Master’s degree in FINE ARTS....
