Art for me is a journey of the soul that never ends. To make this journey beautiful and lively I am painting the path for others to walk on happily. Born and brought up in India, a land of Art, Culture and spirituality, I got the love for art from my father, who was a great appreciator of my paintings and inherited the love for life from my mother. They both were strong believers of God. My father would sing prayers daily with one of his musical instrument and my mother would perform Hawan daily. In Pataka hasta mudra when you bring together the tips of the ring finger and the thumb, the Mayura mudra is formed. The word 'mayur' means peacock and is often used to depict the bird, but in Indian classical dance forms, it is can also be used to depict decorating the forehead, In yoga, this mudra is called the Prithvi (Earth) mudra. Meditating in this mudra helps increase patience, tolerance, and concentration. Also, it helps reduce weakness and dullness of mind.
