Bharatnatyam is a form of Indian classical dance that originated in the temples of Tamil Nadu.It was described in the treatise Natya Shastra by Bharata around the beginning of the common era. Bharata Natyam is known for its grace, purity, tenderness, expression and sculpturesque poses. Lord Shiva is considered the God of this dance form. Art for me is a journey of the soul that never ends. To make this journey beautiful and lively I am painting the path for others to walk on happily. Born and brought up in India, a land of Art, Culture and spirituality, I got the love for art from my father, who was a great appreciator of my paintings and inherited the love for life from my mother. They both were strong believers of God. My father would sing prayers daily with one of his musical instrument and my mother would perform Hawan daily.
