Description
The main feature of this painting is the hand gesture! In Sanskrit it's called 'Hast Mudra'. This mudra is of Goddess of abundance Lakshmi. We should be like Lotus when we have abundance of wealth-
Lotus born in water, grows in water and rises out of water to stand above it unsoiled.
I Created this Painting based on the Hindu Yoga Mediation Chakra Sadhna!
"Chakras, in Hindu metaphysical tradition and other belief systems, are centers of Prāṇa, life force, or vital energy. Chakras correspond to vital points in the physical body i.e. major plexuses of arteries, veins and nerves. Texts and teachings present different numbers of chakras."
"Their name derives from the Sanskrit word for "wheel" or "turning, but in yogic context a better translation of the word is 'vortex or whirlpool'."
"The concept of chakra features in tantric and yogic traditions of Hinduism and Buddhism."
"Anatomically, the seven major charkas are located either along, or just in front of, the spine following a central energy line called the Sushumna. Associated with the chakras is a latent subtle energy called kundalini. At the base of the spine lies the first chakra, called the Muladhara. Within the first chakra, latent consciousness-energy called the kundalini-shakti exists. The Kundalini-shakti can be aroused and directed up the Sushumna. This energy can ascend through each chakra until it reaches the seventh or crown chakra, called the Sahasrara. Within the crown chakra, the kundalini shakti unites with Paramashiva, the Supreme Shiva, bringing one to a state of oneness with the Absolute."
